When you use a search box, the address or owner name you enter is sent to the third-party provider that returns results. This site does not retain a copy of those search entries on its own servers. A message sent to us contains the information you choose to include, which we use to respond.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting service records ordinary server-log details such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and visit times. We review these details in aggregate to maintain the site and understand which pages are useful. Basic analytics or advertising measurement may also use cookies or similar technologies.
How We Use Information
Information is used to run the site, diagnose errors, measure general traffic, and improve the pages. We do not sell visitor lists or build personal profiles of individual users.
External Websites and Search Tools
Links on this site may open Braxton County Clerk, Assessor, Sheriff Tax Office, state GIS, or commercial search services. Those organizations set their own privacy practices; information entered after leaving this site is handled under their policies. Sponsored search results are supplied by an outside provider.

Information Security and Retention
The site runs over an encrypted connection, and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.

This site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Public property records held by Braxton County or West Virginia offices are outside this site's control; send correction or removal questions to the office maintaining the record.
